  • Random audits of campaign information

  • Payment provider security protocols (e.g., Stripe Radar, PayPal Fraud Protection)


3. Examples of Prohibited Fraudulent Activity

Fraudulent or deceptive activities include but are not limited to:

  • Misrepresenting the purpose of a Campaign

  • Submitting fake, misleading, or doctored documents or photos

  • Falsely claiming an affiliation with an individual, organization, or cause

  • Withdrawing funds for purposes not disclosed in the Campaign description

  • Impersonating another person or entity

Violations of these rules may result in account suspension, fund freezes, legal action, and reporting to law enforcement agencies.

4. Reporting Suspicious Activity or Abuse

We rely on our community to help keep DonateYou safe.

If you suspect that a Campaign or user is violating our policies or engaging in fraud, please report it immediately:

  • Campaign link or title

  • Details of suspicious behavior

  • Any supporting evidence (screenshots, receipts, messages)

We take all reports seriously and investigate every submission confidentially.


5. Our Investigation Procedures

Upon receiving a fraud or abuse report, we may:

  • Initiate an internal review of the Campaign and user account

  • Request additional documentation from the Campaign owner (e.g., identity verification, medical records, invoices)

  • Freeze or hold donated funds during the investigation

  • Suspend or terminate user accounts

  • Coordinate with payment processors for fund recovery

  • In cases of criminal behavior, report to appropriate law enforcement agencies

Investigations are confidential to protect the integrity of the process and the privacy of all parties involved.


6. Account Suspension and Termination

DonateYou reserves the right to immediately suspend or permanently terminate any account involved in:

Users who have been suspended or terminated may not create new accounts without DonateYou’s prior written consent.

Funds associated with fraudulent activity may be subject to:

  • Refund to donors

  • Forfeiture

  • Legal hold pending investigation outcome


7. User Responsibilities

All users (donors, Campaign owners, visitors) are responsible for:

  • Providing truthful, accurate information

  • Safeguarding their account login information

  • Notifying DonateYou immediately if they suspect fraud or unauthorized account activity

  • Complying with all laws, regulations, and DonateYou policies

Users should exercise judgment and discretion before making donations.
