Our mission is to create a safe, respectful, and empowering space where people can raise support, share their stories, and connect with kindness.
To make sure DonateYou stays positive and trustworthy for everyone, we ask all users — donors, organizers, and visitors — to follow these Community Guidelines.
By using DonateYou, you agree to these rules, our Terms of Service, and Safety & Security Policy.
🌟 Be Kind and Respectful
Treat everyone with compassion and empathy.
Be respectful when commenting on campaigns or communicating with users.
Assume good intent, but be mindful and considerate of others’ experiences.
🛡️ Keep Our Community Safe
Do not engage in harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, or discrimination.
Do not promote violence, self-harm, or abusive behavior.
Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
Hate speech and personal attacks are strictly prohibited.
Violators may be suspended or banned without warning.
🎯 Be Honest and Transparent
Only create campaigns that are truthful and based on real needs or projects.
Do not share misleading, false, or fraudulent information.
Always disclose your relationship to the beneficiary if you are raising funds for someone else.

đźš« No Prohibited Activities
The following are not allowed on DonateYou:
Fraud, scams, or deceptive fundraising
Fundraising for illegal activities
Content promoting weapons, drugs, hate groups, or extremist organizations
Pornographic or sexually explicit material
Gambling, raffles, lotteries, or betting campaigns
Unauthorized use of intellectual property (e.g., copyrighted images without permission)

🗣️ Responsible Commenting
If you comment on a campaign:
Be supportive — even if you have questions or concerns.
Do not post abusive, graphic, or spam content.
Stay on-topic and respect the campaign organizer’s story.
We encourage dialogue, but it must remain respectful and safe for all users.
🚨 Reporting Violations
If you see something that violates these guidelines:
Click the “Report” button available on campaigns and comments.
Or email us directly at safety@donateyou.com.
We take all reports seriously and review them confidentially.

⚖️ Enforcement Actions
Violating these guidelines may result in:
Content removal (campaigns, updates, comments)
Temporary account suspension
Permanent account ban
Legal reporting where required
DonateYou reserves the right to take action without prior warning in cases of serious violations.
🛡️ Appeals
If you believe your campaign or account was removed in error:
You can appeal by emailing support@donateyou.com.
Appeals must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the enforcement notice.
Appeals are reviewed carefully, but final decisions are binding.
